Elizabeth Wilcox is the fifth of seven children, born to an English mother and American father. She has worked as a journalist, editor and producer in London, Hong Kong, and the United States in print, radio, television and on the web. Her first book, The Mom Economy: The Mothers' Guide to Getting Family-Friendly Work (Berkley, 2003) was called one of the best career books of the year by syndicated career columnist Joyce Lain Kennedy. Her second book, The Long Tail of Trauma (Green Place Books, Nov 2020), looks at the inheritability of trauma across three generations of mothers and daughters. She is cofounder of AuthorPods.com, a platform and a service that seeds remarkable conversations around books.
