I live on the edge of the New Forest in a house stacked with animals. Great fun! If there are any mistakes on this page blame a young English Pointer, a dog who insists on 'helping.' 'The Parsley Parcel' was my first book. It was shortlisted for the Whitbread Children's Award and is still my favourite. It's about a little Gypsy Girl called Freya who is sent to Aunt Emma's 'polish posh' house to work some very special magic with the help of her pet magpie.A new audio version should be available soon. 'The Gold-Spectre' is a ghost story based on myths relating to the Kildonan gold mines in 1868. These were Scottish gold mines in Great Britain. I'm flexible with regard to mediums and have written several stories behind 'Zarista Games' i-phone games including an asteroid pair and a Celtic trilogy. I've just tried my first picture book for kindle. 'Suzannah and Sam Seahorse go Exploring' It's about the different way fish look after their eggs. I think being able to get lost in a story is a fantastic experience. It's a place where we can create our own worlds as both reader and writer.
