Ed is a lifelong technology enthusiast whose love of engineering and liberal arts helped him forge a career in cybersecurity. Ed is passionate about advancing the cybersecurity workforce and education. He proudly serves nonprofits, including Cyversity, an organization that promotes diversity and inclusion in the cybersecurity industry, and the DeyLight Foundation, which delivers healthcare education for professionals and students in Bangladesh with a focus on mother-child. He is a trailblazer in the IT security and software quality industries, host of Ed TALKS, and has led companies such as Security Innovation, Rational Software, Lionbridge, and MathSoft. He is a Privacy by Design ambassador for Canada, a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Ponemon Institute, and has presented at numerous industry conferences. Ed earned degrees in Engineering and English Literature before receiving an MBA with honors from Boston College. He lives in Massachusetts, enjoys traveling the world, and is committed to physical and mental fitness; however, most of all, Ed loves spending time with his large, extended network of family and friends.
