Whether for the Page or the Stage, my goal is to Entertain, Challenge, and Move you. Crossing (and mixing) genres from Literary to Western to Fantasy to Young Adult, my creative works run the gamut. My stories explore those shadowed grey areas between the black and white of larger moral and existential questions and conflicts. My literary influences are Frank Herbert, Chaim Potok, Alan Duff, William Shakespeare, Tom Stoppard, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Douglas Adams.

I am a retired high school Drama, Film, Broadcast Journalism, and Writing teacher (all twenty-five years in the classroom). During my First Act career, I produced and directed 62 extra-curricular Drama Club productions.

After retiring from full-time teaching, I completed my Ph.D. in Diplomacy and International Affairs. My dissertation was titled: "The Case for Privacy in Diplomatic Negotiations: Lessons from the 1787 Constitutional Convention, the 1993 Oslo Accords, and the 1998 Good Friday Accords." I currently split my time between Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Monterey, California.

I am a novelist, playwright, historian, and essayist. I write a weekly substack on musing and ruminations of various topics personal, historical, and social. See his substack under his nome de plume: Chip MacEnulty.
