Regina Chow Trammel, Ph.D., LCSW, is Professor in the Master of Social Work program at Azusa Pacific University and holds a Ph.D. in Social Work from Baylor University. Regina is passionate about mentoring students so they can improve the lives of others as social workers. Regina is also a psychotherapist with almost two decades in private practice, as well as experience in psychiatric and medical social work settings. Her research focuses on theoretical and operationalized concepts of mindfulness, particularly in the Christian religious stream, its efficacy through quantitative and qualitative methods, and mindfulness intervention research. Dr. Trammel has academic research publications on mindfulness, speaks on the topic, and has written a book, A Counselor’s Guide to Christian Mindfulness: Engaging the Mind, Body, & Soul in Biblical Practices and Therapies with Zondervan/Harper Collins Christian.
