Dr. P. Shiroma writes children’s books and guided journals for women that nurture emotional well-being, family connection, and personal reflection.

Award-winning author Dr. P. Shiroma holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and writes psychology-inspired books that nurture emotional well-being, family connection, and self-understanding.

Her adoption-themed children’s books help families talk about love, belonging, and how their family came to be, while also helping children understand their own story. She also writes guided journals for women (coming soon!), designed to encourage reflection, self-discovery, and personal insight.

Deeply passionate about adoption advocacy and supporting women in different seasons of their lives, Dr. Shiroma brings both professional knowledge and lived experience to her work raising awareness and supporting children and families.
She believes stories and reflection can help people better understand themselves and the families they love.

Beyond writing, she enjoys experimenting with recipes, crafting, sewing, gardening, and raising different breeds of chickens that lay a rainbow of eggs. Most of all, she treasures time with her beautiful children, who inspire her daily to live with creativity and love.

Her books are published by Tonbo Press, an independent imprint dedicated to thoughtful stories and journals that inspire connection, creativity, and personal discovery.
