Dr. Norman P. Johnson holds a PhD in theoretical particle physics. His scientific and technical career has included research at Argonne National Laboratory, atmospheric computer simulations for NASA, and the design and deployment of cellular and satellite telecommunications systems worldwide.

In "How to Survive the Singularity", Johnson explores advanced artificial intelligence and the future of humanity. He presents his vision of human evolution through a convergence of organic, artificial, and cultural intelligence, considering both its physical and spiritual dimensions.

Johnson is also the author of several works of fiction. He divides his time between Lake Stevens, Washington and Molokai, Hawaii. Away from writing, he enjoys traveling, deep-sea fishing, and scuba diving.
