Dr. Joy Kwakuyi is an integrative psychiatric nurse practitioner, pastor, and coach who desires to help people live with balance, purpose, and fulfillment. He has dedicated his career to supporting individuals and mental health professionals, encouraging a holistic approach to healing that blends science, faith, and compassionate care. As Co-Founder and Director of the Tucson Treatment Center, Dr. Kwakuyi has built a practice that reflects his belief in integrating spiritual and mental wellness. He also serves as Resident Pastor of the Impact Chapel of the International Central Gospel Church in Tucson and provides leadership to churches in the Arizona–Texas area. With decades of service across Africa, Europe, and the United States, his work spans both medicine and ministry. Dr. Kwakuyi holds advanced degrees from the University of South Alabama, the University of Connecticut, the University of London, and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. His career in mental health spans more than 15 years and is complemented by over 30 years of Christian ministry worldwide. He has written several books that reflect his dedication to mental wellness, spiritual growth, and living with purpose. Through his writing, Dr. Kwakuyi continues to share insights that inspire readers to find healing, meaning, and fulfillment in their everyday lives. He lives in Tucson, Arizona, with his wife, Esenam, and their three children: Elsie, Ellis, and Elton.
