Dr. Adrian Mehmedi is a naturopathic doctor, entrepreneur, and holistic health advocate who bridges ancient healing traditions with modern scientific innovation. Born in Elgin, Illinois to Albanian immigrant parents from Macedonia, Adrian’s life has been shaped by cultural depth, resilience, and a deep passion for empowering others. His career began in finance and private equity, where he worked with natural food and beverage startups. But after a personal awakening catalyzed by cannabis and psychedelic medicine, Adrian shifted course—returning to school to become a naturopathic doctor. He trained extensively in botanical medicine, homeopathy, functional nutrition, and mind-body healing, with a strong foundation in the vitalistic philosophy that views the body as inherently self-healing when aligned with nature. Dr. Mehmedi is a leader in the therapeutic practice of water fasting, having personally completed dozens of fasts, including extended 21-day protocols. He is developing an upcoming online course to help guide participants through a safe and transformative three-day fast rooted in both ancient tradition and modern science. Adrian also hosts the Healing Intentions podcast, where he interviews thought leaders and pioneers in the fields of psychedelics, integrative medicine, and consciousness. His experiences in the transformational festival scene, where he first encountered psychedelic medicines as tools for healing, continue to shape his message and mission. He is a strong advocate for decentralizing healthcare and sees powerful parallels between blockchain and psychedelic systems—both decentralized, borderless, and transformative. These ideas echo in his debut book, Profits Over People: How Healthcare Became Sick Care, which critiques the for-profit medical system while presenting a vision for a future rooted in self-healing, community, and natural wisdom. Currently based in Phoenix, Arizona, Adrian continues to develop educational and wellness projects. Whether through writing, formulating products, guiding fasts, or sharing stories, his mission is to awaken consciousness and help people remember that healing is their birthright—and nature is the most powerful teacher. His work is grounded in the belief that nature, intention, and inner knowing can empower lasting transformation.
