Douglas Rappaport is a working screenwriter, recently commissioned by director David Winkler for a paid writing assignment, whose storytelling has been recognized across multiple mediums. A classically trained violinist and composer, Douglas studied at leading conservatories across the United States and Europe, which culminated with the USC film scoring program in LA. Now based in Rhode Island, he writes screenplays, novels, and stage plays that probe the fault lines of identity, memory, and truth—finding resonance in complexity and beauty on the margins. Drawing on his musical training, international study, and film‑scoring experience, Douglas combines formal rigor with a structural method that maps relationships and narrative feedback, so character, plot, and theme reinforce one another. That approach attracts collaborators who value clarity and depth and drives his immediate goal of writing and producing screenplays with cultural impact.
