Donna J. Drucker's interest in the history of sexuality and gender as it intersects with science and technology began during graduate school. When Indiana University was celebrating the 50th anniversary of Alfred Kinsey's Sexual Behavior in the Human Female (1953) in 2003, she learned about the Kinsey Institute and developed an ongoing passion for this area of scholarship. After finishing her PhD in history at Indiana, she taught history and English in Germany before returning to the US to take a position in academic administration. She is the author of four books and is working on a fifth. She lives in New York City.
