Don Donovan brings more than four decades of experience working in and leading large, complex businesses and high-performing teams across the aerospace, defense, and national security sector. He also advises organizations and leaders across a range of other industries.

Over the course of his career, Don held leadership roles in contracting, finance, program management, and general management at Sanders Associates, Lockheed, Lockheed Martin, and BAE Systems. He later served as president of BAE Systems’ Electronic Warfare business, a global leader in technologies used for electronic defense and protection.

Now semi-retired, Don consults with businesses, teams, and individuals across industries, with a focus on leadership development. He holds a degree in business and economics and an MBA. His work is grounded in a deep interest in clarity of mind, resilience, innate potential, and the psychological foundations of human performance.

Don is a co-founder of the Three Principles Global Community, a nonprofit organization, and served as president of its Executive Board from 2009 to 2017.

State of Mind Is the Bottom Line is Don’s first novel, written with his good friend and colleague of more than 30 years, George Pransky. The book was inspired in part by his own journey through high-stakes leadership and by a transformative shift in how he came to understand the nature of mind and human experience.

Don and his wife, Debbie, live in New Hampshire and have four grown children.
