Deric McNish, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Theatre at Michigan State University, where he also serves as Director of the BFA in Acting. He is a professional audiobook narrator, director, actor, and author. His research focuses on inclusive and interdisciplinary teaching and learning. He develops performance-based approaches to English language learning and works to make the creative process more accessible to people with disabilities. Deric is originally from Long Island, New York. He was first published in seventh grade. It was a poem called "My Brother Just Broke Our Living Room Window" that you can still find on Merlyn's Pen.
