Dawn Chartier writes stories where Southern folklore, mystery, romance, and the supernatural collide.
A Louisiana author with a love for legends, haunted places, complicated characters, and stories that refuse to stay buried, Dawn draws inspiration from the culture and folklore of the South—especially the bayous and backroads of Louisiana.
Her books range from Southern Gothic horror and paranormal romance to contemporary romance, but at their heart are characters facing the things they fear, the truths they've buried, and occasionally something that goes bump in the night.
When she isn't writing, Dawn is usually reading, traveling, spending time with family, or searching for the next story hiding in a Louisiana legend.

Her upcoming release, WHAT THEY FORGOT (Oct. 2026) is a Southern Gothic tale of Louisiana folklore, buried history, and a midnight dare that awakens something that was never truly forgotten.

"Dawn Chartier is the real deal; a gifted wordsmith and a born storyteller. It doesn't get much better than this!"
