David William Vancil is an author, bartender, and sommelier from Chicago with a love for traveling the road less traveled by. While bartending in Waikiki, Hollywood, Tokyo, Kofu, and Chicago he was blessed to make some amazing acquaintances. Circling the globe with pennies at times he somehow found a way to experience China, Japan, Mexico, Korea, and travel all over the continental United States. David has an insatiable appetite for knowledge and experiencing the simple sweet moments amongst exceptional human beings. Not always politically correct and at times offensive David believes that we may only live once and refuses to go quietly into the night. And in the words of Rumi, he hopes to, “meet you there.”
