Storyteller, traveller, and grandfather — sharing page-turners that make you laugh, think, and dream. David Ritchie was born in Zimbabwe and moved to Australia with his family, aged ten. A teacher, pastor, and occasional carpenter, he has lived and worked in Australia and Kenya — teaching physics in Nairobi, climbing Mt Kenya three times, and collecting stories from every chapter of his life. Now retired in Newcastle, NSW, David writes for readers of all ages, from rhyming ballads that weave humour and faith to imaginative fiction for children and the young-at-heart. He draws inspiration from a lifetime of adventure, travel, and teaching, as well as family life with Margy, their four children, eight grandchildren and four chickens. When he’s not writing, David can usually be found with a good book in hand or tending his vegetable garden — the perfect place, he says, to dream up his next story.
