David Adeola Adeyemo is a writer, U.S. Army officer, public health nurse, former international weightlifter, and technology founder. His literary work includes poetry and fiction often centered on memory, resilience, identity, and faith. Born in Nigeria, David competed in Olympic weightlifting, winning gold at the 2010 African Junior Championship in Cairo and the 2011 Commonwealth Junior Championship in South Africa. In 2014, he coached the Kenyan National Weightlifting Team at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and later contributed to the team's qualification efforts for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. He currently serves as an active duty officer in the United States Army. He holds graduate degrees in nursing, public administration, public health, and human resource management, and is pursuing a PhD in global health and development. David is the founder and president of World Public Health, a nonprofit and honor society focused on health equity and public health leadership, and also leads Daeyla LLC, a technology company developing consumer software products. His work across healthcare, military service, athletics, and technology continues to shape both his writing and his broader public health mission.
