Darvis Marshall is an author, recording artist, and lifelong storyteller whose creativity has never been confined to one medium. After years of telling stories through music as rapper Syndicate Same Ol’, he turned that same imagination toward fiction.

His Shadowmarked series explores faith, temptation, redemption, power, and the complicated line between good and evil through supernatural storytelling. Marshall approaches fiction much the same way he approaches music: cinematically, emotionally, and with characters who aren’t always as simple as they first appear.

For Marshall, becoming an author wasn’t a departure from music—it was another way to tell a story. Whether through a microphone or the pages of a novel, the mission remains the same: create something people can feel, see, and remember.
