Dr Darline Joseph Marianathan is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist with dual doctoral training from the Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University. He also holds two British master’s degrees: an MSc in Psychology of Education (BPS) with a specialisation in Neuroscience from the University of Bristol, and an MSc in Psychology from the University of Exeter.
He is an active member of several national and international professional bodies, including the British Psychological Society (BPS), the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Originally from India, Dr Darline completed an MSc in Psychology and holds bachelor’s degrees in economics, theology, and philosophy. He has written more than 200 newspaper articles on national and global issues, as well as several books in both English and Tamil.
Dr Darline is a regular guest speaker at educational institutions around the world. He delivers lectures, seminars, and motivational talks to a wide range of audiences, including business leaders, public officials, educators, families, clergy, and religious communities.
Alongside his writing and teaching, he runs a busy private practice. He has extensive clinical experience within the NHS and other settings, working with complex and long‑term mental health presentations such as addiction, alcohol misuse, safeguarding concerns, personality disorders, sexual abuse, self‑harm, suicidal ideation, relationship and marital difficulties, depression, anxiety, cognitive impairment, ADHD, and sexual dysfunction.
