Daren Callow

Daren Callow

Daren Callow is a writer, voice actor and musician who is based in Hove on the south coast of the United Kingdom, a medium-sized cannon shot from the English Channel. Ever since he got a Highly Commended sci-fi story published by the Puffin Club (Circa. 1979) Daren has been convinced that he can write decent stories. Occasionally there is some proof of that. He also dabbles with short plays, general fiction and non-fiction writing in genres from steampunk to information technology. In 2017 he published his first collection of steampunk short stories – Tales Of New Albion volume 1. He is currently working on volume 2 and another collection of varied sci-fi short stories. As an actor, as well as seemingly endless performances of Tales Of New Albion stories and plays, Daren has also lent his voice to Brighton Theatre of The Air and 2 Bit Productions audio dramas, he also finds time to record his own steampunk podcast (also entitled Tales Of New Albion) featuring original comedy material voiced by a cast of thousands (approx.) and readings of his stories. Last, but by no means least, he is also one half of the acoustic duo - Dare To Be Charlie - and the lead guitarist for the, internationally regarded, neo-prog combo – Alan Reed & The Daughters Of Expediency.
