Danielle Johnston is a trailblazer in the all star cheer industry, known for turning the “industry standard” upside down and teaching owners how to build a profitable and sustainable program in a small community. As the founder of Twister Sports in Warrensburg, Mo., Danielle has spearheaded a significant local athletic presence since 2013. Her gym’s offerings include recreational and competitive cheerleading, tumbling, hip hop, gymnastics, ninja warrior, and indoor batting cages. In a community of just 20,000, her gym has remarkably engaged over 700 athletes and has become a hub for birthday parties, summer camps, and after-school programs. Danielle has been at the helm of seven successful businesses, including Next Generation Gym Owners, a cornerstone in the all-star cheerleading industry known for its expansive business mentorship program. In her role as an owner and coach at Next Gen, Danielle guides other gym owners in developing profitable businesses without compromising the affordability of their programs. Her specialized expertise in marketing, sales, systems, and effective staffing has been instrumental in fostering growth and sustainability in the competitive world of gym ownership. Danielle's background blends a bachelor's degree in journalism with seven years of service in the United States Air Force, where she was honored as Air Force Reserve Journalist of the Year in 2009. Danielle is active in her community, in 2017 serving as the mayor of Warrensburg, Mo.
