DL Beechinor is a California-based author crafting speculative fiction where the ordinary collides with the extraordinary. Drawing from her diverse roles as an educator, advocate, mother, and grandmother, Beechinor writes high-stakes romantic fantasy filled with fierce dragons, royal intrigue, and mythic gods. A self-described "serial reinventor," she weaves narratives deeply steeped in themes of reinvention, mythic transformation, and the courage to confront the inexplicable. Beechinor is the author of the Vegas series, including her debut novel Vegas Viking, which merges Norse mythology with modern mystery, and its sequel, Vegas Ghost. Whether writing about mythic dragons or modern-day seekers, she excels at balancing eerie, otherworldly atmospheres with wry, character-driven humor. When not untangling the voices of her persistent literary creations, she can be found hiking coastal trails with her ghost-eyed Chihuahua or debating classic-cinema trivia with her husband of four decades. She writes for anyone who has ever sensed whispers in the static of daily life and dared to ask: What if?
