From the sun-kissed beaches of California to the lush landscapes of Washington State, Dolanna's journey into the world of small business accounting has been anything but ordinary. Influenced by a mother who cherished the power of books and nurtured an early love for learning, Dolanna was destined to carve a unique path in the business world. With an entrepreneurial spirit sparked by her mother's bookkeeping interest, she embarked on a lifelong quest for knowledge, discovering joy in the numbers and systems that make small businesses thrive.

Boasting an impressive three decades of experience across diverse sectors like construction, non-profit, consulting, daycare, and real estate, Dolanna has mastered the art of financial management. Her journey from data entry to finance director and small business owner is a testament to the power of perseverance, continuous learning, and the entrepreneurial spirit. Alongside her professional ascent, she pursued night classes and online courses, earning a Masters in Science (Accounting) and a LEAN certification, further cementing her expertise in the field.

Yet, Dolanna's contributions extend beyond her personal achievements. With no prior authorial experience, she penned "Bookkeeping Mastery for Small Businesses" to empower other small business owners. This work, inspired by a dedication to sharing knowledge and experience, aims to demystify accounting for entrepreneurs who may lack the resources to hire professionals but possess the drive to succeed.

Dolanna remains at the cutting edge of small business accounting through avid participation in social media groups, newsletters, and professional associations. Her commitment to education has led her to present at workshops, train accounting departments, and even serve as an interim CFO, sharing her wealth of knowledge with others in the field.

Beyond the balance sheets and financial statements, Dolanna is a firm believer in the transformative power of understanding one’s finances. Her core philosophy—that financial literacy is crucial for informed decision-making and business growth—resonates throughout her work. This belief is underscored by her personal journey of earning a degree as a single parent, a narrative of resilience and dedication that inspires all who hear it.

When not navigating the complexities of small business finance, Dolanna finds solace in the great outdoors, exploring nature through hiking, fishing, and boating, accompanied by her beloved animals. This connection to nature and love for adventure enriches her approach to business and life.

Looking ahead, Dolanna is excited to continue sharing her wealth of knowledge through upcoming projects focused on online bookkeeping software and risk management planning. Her aim is not just to educate, but to empower small business owners with the tools and understanding needed to streamline their operations, save valuable time and money, and make informed decisions that foster sustainable growth.

As Dolanna ventures further into the literary world, she hopes to connect with readers who share a passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to master the financial aspects of their businesses. It is in this spirit of community and shared growth that she invites all who wish to embark on this journey of financial empowerment and business success.
