Clayton is the author of 14 books and sold over 150,000 copies independently before being published with Harvest House, Baker and Lifeway. He and his wife Sharie recently won the "Young Adult Book Of The Year Award" from the Christian Retailers Association for "True Love Project." He and Sharie also host their own TV show called "Stronger" based off his recent book of the same title with Baker Publishing. Clayton was adopted by his parents when he was just two weeks old. His birth mother was only 15 when she delivered him, and his life has always felt like a gift from God. He began speaking at youth groups and in prison ministries when he became a Christian at age 14, and in 2017 celebrated 30 years in ministry. He is the Founder and President of Crossroads Summer Camps and Clayton King Ministries. He is is Teaching Pastor at Newspring Church in South Carolina. He was Campus Pastor at Liberty University, the world's largest Christian university, for 8 years. He is also founder of the Crossroads Coaching Networks, Crossroads Missions, and Jacob's Well Music Festival. He has traveled in 46 countries, been chased by the Russian KGB in Moscow, been thrown out of a Motley Crue concert, and been shot at in the Himalayas of Kashmir. He once gave Garth Brokks' autograph because evidently they look alike. He is married to Sharie, adores his two boys Jacob and Joseph, and he can talk backwards.
