Musician, bookworm, and history buff Christina Miller has lived a life of plot twists. Like when her quiet job as a long-term-care RN in her sleepy hometown led her into a remote Honduran village to work in a clinic for Nicaraguan refugees during the Sandinista-Contra war, where she treated soldiers instead of bedsores. Or the time she and her husband left their comfortable church and worship team to pioneer a new church in a southern Indiana area so remote, their 100-year-old, long-abandoned church had a creek-side outhouse instead of a bathroom.
And her dream of a happy home filled with many children? Well, Christina and her husband have the “happy home” part, but after they took fertility treatments as far as they sensed the Lord leading, she started writing books to help fill the void (and soon had a houseful of church youth instead). After many rejected manuscripts, she now has seven published Christian romance novels.
When Christina’s not writing, you can find her reading Jane Austen or Eugenia Price, playing piano at the (less remote!) church her husband pastors, or walking country roads near her home. She often has a cup of hot Constant Comment tea close at hand—along with a notebook full of new story ideas.
