Cheryl Guerriero is the screenwriter behind the Apple TV original film Palmer, starring Justin Timberlake, Juno Temple, and Ryder Allen, who earned a Critics Choice Award nomination for his performance. Palmer premiered in 2021 and quickly became one of Apple TV’s most-watched films, breaking global viewership records. Prior to production, the screenplay landed on the prestigious Black List. Guerriero also co-wrote the political thriller PH-1 with director Mark Kassen, which hit theaters in 2026. Guerriero's upcoming projects include Barrie, a powerful true story she was hired by Netflix to adapt, centered on British soldier and bomb disposal expert Sean Laidlaw, who finds healing and purpose after rescuing a stray puppy in war-torn Syria and fighting to bring her home; and The Last Lap, an original racecar drama she sold to SK Global and was hired to adapt the screenplay, reuniting her with director Fisher Stevens. In addition to her screenwriting work, Guerriero made her publishing debut with the suspense novel Girl on Point, which reviewers praised as “the most dramatic and emotional book of the year” and “a shocking, unpredictable read.” The novel was acquired by legendary Italian producer Aurelio De Laurentiis, who hired Guerriero to adapt it into a feature screenplay. Originally from New Jersey, Guerriero now lives in Los Angeles. When she’s not writing, she can be found playing poker, eating ice cream like it’s a competitive sport, or coaching her and her partner’s dog in the fine art of table-side begging.
