Charles Vance is a computer scientist, industrial automation developer, and covenant teacher with over 30 years of experience across software development, SCADA systems, and PLC programming. He currently focuses on Ignition projects as part of a development team in the oil and gas industry. His technical books include Foundations of Jython Programming, PLC Programming Fundamentals, and his latest, Understanding Modbus—practical references written to make a few notoriously dense topics a little more approachable. Charles is also a dedicated student of covenant theology. His work in this field includes Return to the Ancient Path, One in His Hand, the recent study Covenant-Based Salvation, Let Her Lead, and End of the Age with its companion study. Rooted in Scripture, his writing returns to the foundational voice of Sinai and explores how the covenant path shapes our identity and purpose today, challenging tradition with reverence and insight. Away from the keyboard, Charles is a longtime numismatist, and the author of two coin guides—Collecting Lincoln Cents: How to Recognize Pennies Worth Dollars and Collecting Wheat Cents—that help collectors find value in the overlooked and ordinary. He also believes in using every tool, including artificial intelligence, with discernment and purpose—not as a threat, but as a partner that, stewarded by wisdom, can amplify truth and support the work of writers, teachers, and engineers. Based in Houston, Texas, Charles continues to write, teach, and build resources for those seeking practical knowledge, spiritual clarity, and a covenant-grounded life. His current fiction projects include the novel Fractured Word, along with Rhakotis and Last Commodore.
