Celine O'Donovan is a Salthill native, from the city of Galway on the west coast of Ireland. She enjoyed a successful, international career in marketing for over 25 years, until a diagnosis with breast cancer in 2016 changed the course of her life. It was while she was recovering that she discovered her love for writing. This led her to publish her first book - The Tapestry of Life. “The Tapestry of Life is a book that takes you by surprise. It’s a deceptively simple story, about the lives of ordinary people. But through her characters, Celine O’Donovan gives a sharp, and insightful commentary about modern society; our treatment of mental illness, our disregard for older people, and the safety net of community. It’s a book about bravery, discovery, and most importantly, friendship. Roll on the sequel.” RTE Broadcaster and Journalist, Sarah McInernery’s review of the book. Her second book Gifts from the Devastation will be published in the coming months and is available to pre-order now. I hope that my story reminds people that although pain inevitably accompanies growth, life is always trying to help us grow into the fullest version of ourselves. I believe that life is always happening for us, not to us. We are not just helpless victims of life. We really are powerful creators. Celine is also an accredited life coach who is passionate about working with clients who want to bring about positive transformation in their lives.
