Catherine Brooks writes emotionally rich love stories with a historical backdrop. As a former ballet dancer, registered nurse, and photographer, she brings depth and real-life experience to her stories. Her debut novel, The Soldier and the Swan, is a wartime love story inspired by the haunting beauty of Swan Lake.

She lives in Arizona with her husband, two children, a tortoise who loves strawberries, a neurotic dog, and a bird that loves to dance.
