I grew up in Kent, an only-child to my milkman Dad and home-help Mum. I was a bit of a daydreamer who dreamed of far-off travel and amazing adventures. I taught myself to play guitar, and have been writing, recording, performing, and teaching music for many years. I also found I loved stargazing and have been an astronomer in the Namib Desert, a place that provided the inspiration and setting for my first novel, ‘DJ & The Valley of The Dunes’, self-published March 2018. My love of cetaceans provided the setting for my second novel, ‘Orca Sky – The Girl Who Sang with The Whales’, (August 2020), which includes four songs I wrote and recorded that you can listen to, (and sing along with if you wish!), as we follow young Sky’s adventures across the ocean. My latest novel, ‘Fatface & Furballs’ VERY BAD Furday’, (March 2022), is a somewhat irreverent offering involving two strays – a scraggy dog and cat ‘team’ stuck disconsolately in an Animal Shelter with nothing but contempt for each other, and who (through doing something they were told they shouldn’t!) find out what it’s like to ‘walk a mile in someone else’s paws’, becoming worldwide heroes in the process. Your friend, C.C. October 2022.
