Hi thanks for coming to my author page. A bit about me. I have over 30 years’ experience in the National Health Service, (NHS), social care and education sectors in the UK. I originally qualified as a social worker, working across all ages and abilities and with carers, before moving to staff development roles. I'm passionate about learning, personal development, collaborative working and helping people achieve their goals, and become the person they want to be. I'm a logophile, I love words and reading. I have helped to run a local book group for over 20 years. I started collecting words to do with health and social care when I 'jumped over the fence' from working in social care for 30 years to work in NHS. I thought I had landed in a different world and needed a translator! So now I write to share the strange phrases I've heard at work, just in case anyone else has become as confused as I have! I acknowledge this is a niche area, but then someone has to do it! I have two cats, Jess and Maisie, who keep me company when I'm typing and a husband, who wonders why I spend my time writing and daydreaming when there are other things to do! Check out my books.
