Carol J. Yee is a life-long traveler who will go miles out of her way to eat at a recommended restaurant or visit an obscure cultural site. She has vast experience traveling for both work and pleasure thanks to her long career in international development. When she’s at home, she eagerly seeks out ethnic restaurants, museum exhibitions, foreign films and television shows. She was inspired to write her book, Welcome Back to Abuja Once Again: How I Became a Citizen of the World, the Foreword Indies 2021 GOLD Winner for Travel, to share her passion for meeting people around the globe and to encourage others who may be hesitant to open up to new adventures. Through the stories in her book, she shows the reader how travel reveals our common humanity and enriches our lives.
