Carlene Hill Byron has worked as a journalist, a ghostwriter, an award-winning marketing communicator, a grant writer, a fundraiser for nonprofit organizations, and the editor of New England Church Life and The New England Christian. Her first book, Not Quite Fine: Mental Health, Faith, and Showing Up for One Another, was published by Herald Press (2021). She's a frequent contributor to newspaper opinion pages, and has written for The Redbud Post, Holy Culture, CrossMap, and magazines including Common Good, The War Cry, and Evangelizing Today's Child. She has collaborated on book projects with people on three continents and is grateful that wherever she goes, God is already there. When she’s not writing, she’s likely to be baking, gardening, or working out at the boxing gym.
