C.C.S. (ChristaCarol Sunshine) Jones is an award-winning author who writes bold, emotionally charged stories about complicated people facing impossible choices. Her adult epic fantasy series, The Last Mage, began with Magicbound, a five-star Readers’ Favorite recipient, and continues with Magic Rift, with the trilogy’s conclusion coming in 2027. She is also the author of The Mythic Saga, a YA fantasy series packed with mythology, monsters, and a teenage heroine who never asked to inherit the mantle of Hercules.

In November 2026, Jones is trading magic and monsters for mistletoe with her closed-door romantic comedy debut, The Sleigh to My Heart, bringing her love of character-driven storytelling, complicated relationships, and emotional depth to contemporary romance.

With a background in education, Jones writes across genres while keeping character at the heart of every story. Her books explore identity, belonging, sacrifice, love, and the messy reality of becoming who you were meant to be.

When she isn’t writing or workshopping with fellow authors at DFW Writers’ Workshop, she can usually be found performing on stage, chasing storms with her son, drinking entirely too much caffeine, or spending time with her husband, three children, and grandson.
