Bryan Goodwin is President and CEO of McREL International, a nonprofit research and school transformation organization that translates rigorous research into professional learning and consulting services for school systems worldwide. Bryan has written many books that translate research into practice for educators, including The New Classroom Instruction that Works: The Best Research-based Strategies for Increasing Student Achievement (ASCD, 2022), Learning that Sticks: A Brain-Based Model for K—12 Instructional Design and Delivery (ASCD, 2020); Unstuck: How Curiosity, Peer Coaching and Teaming Can Change Schools (ASCD, 2018), Balanced Leadership for Powerful Learning: Tools for Achieving Success in Your School (ASCD, 2015), The 12 Touchstones of Good Teaching: A Checklist for Staying Focused Every Day (ASCD, 2013), Simply Better: Doing What Matters Most to Change the Odds for Student Success (ASCD, 2011). He has shared insights with audiences from across the Caribbean, Mideast, North and South America, the Pacific, and Australia. He holds a B.A. from Baylor University and an M.A. from the University of Virginia.
