I have always been interested in finance. I got my degree in accounting and spent 19 years as an independent financial advisor. However, over time, my passion began to tilt toward real estate because I noticed the undeniable financial significance of making correct choices related to real estate. And because helping people with their real estate decisions, including investments, home purchases, mortgage strategies (including reverse mortgages), and so on creates all sorts of conflicts for the compliance overlay in the financial planning industry, I encountered roadblock after roadblock in providing advice about these topics. After several years of trying to navigate the compliance obstacles, I ultimately sold my financial planning practice after 19 years to make real estate, and clarifying the financial consequences of real estate related decisions, my focus.
