Boaz Anglade is a Haitian development economist with a doctorate in applied economics from the University of Florida. With over a decade of experience, he has led the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of development projects across Haiti, Africa, and Southeast Asia. His research explores key economic and social challenges, including gender disparities, poverty, inequality, the impact of climate change, the effectiveness of social programs, agricultural technology transfer models, and microfinance. His work has been published in respected academic journals such as World Development, Development Policy Review, and Feminist Economics. Beyond his academic and professional work, he is actively engaged in political discourse, particularly in advocating for marginalized communities. He has written extensively on Haiti’s most pressing issues, offering both analysis and policy recommendations. A lifelong believer in the power of storytelling to shift public understanding, Anglade is also a devoted reader of narrative nonfiction. Light Beneath Ashes is his debut memoir.
