Rev. William G. Ressl, MDiv, MSW, PhD, LCSW.

Bill is an expert in family systems, clinical social work, systematic theology, and ritual studies with a background in law, economics, and the arts. With his wife the Rev. Penny L. Taylor, PhD, LCSW, he co-founded the Penny & Bill Company, dba Center to Awaken Kindness offering self-care tools grounded in contemporary mindful practices and historic Christian meditative processes.

As a psychotherapist/LCSW, Bill is a transformational coach encouraging new understandings of individual and relational empowerment.

As an educator, he is an academic journey companion supporting the growth of individual curiosity that supports self-care, well-being, and wellness. In the academy he has taught social work and theology at the undergraduate, advanced master’s, and doctoral level.

As a clergy member, Bill is an Ordained Minister in the United Church of Christ (UCC) having served as Co-Pastor providing a pastoral presence grounded in the progressive transformational message of Christ’s love.
