From Hardship to Calling Bill’s journey began in hardship. When his father died suddenly, his mother was left to raise six children on welfare. A traveling pastor introduced the family to the Bible, changing their trajectory. From those humble beginnings, Bill developed a passion: to see every family step into God’s intended purpose. Professional Leadership After earning a degree in education and graduating from law school, Bill practiced at a large international firm before founding one of the nation’s leading charitable foundations. There, he helped families create legacy plans that combined generosity, vision, and faith. He has also co-led gatherings of business leaders with David Green and is widely recognized as one of the country’s leading voices on philanthropy and legacy. Legacy Stone Today, Bill serves as CEO of Legacy Stone, a ministry equipping families and churches to move from an individual mindset to a biblical, team-centered view of family. Through workshops, consulting, and curriculum development, he helps families recover their stories, live with clear values, and unite around a shared mission.
