Bethany Lunney, born late 2009, is a teen author and poet based in the West-Midlands, UK. During her life she has had many battles with various mental health issues such as anxiety and OCD. At aged 10, Bethany received her diagnosis of ASD, and grew to hate the aspect of having Aspergers due to the societal attitudes and shunning towards mental health problems or difference. In her YA fiction novel 'If Only" she addresses many of these issues with elements such as Social Media, underlying bullying and social isolation. Written from two perspectives, two girls from parallel lives, equally yet disparately broken, find their paths crossing, and through a journey of grief, pain and isolation, they finally draw together the fragments of their lives to create the most healing mentality; self acceptance.
