Beth Camp attended eight high schools and worked her way through as many colleges on the west coast of the U.S. before earning her master's at the University of Oregon. Her careers as an international banker, a corporate consultant, and a writing teacher and English Department Chair at the community college level have fueled her passion for historical fiction and poetry. A love of international travel and the industrial revolution led her to Scotland to research settings for STANDING STONES; her first novel introduces the McDonnell family at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. This novel won an award for historical fiction from the Pacific Northwest Writers Association, 2010. YEARS OF STONE (2014), a finalist for Amazon's ABNA competition, continues the story of Mac and Deidre McDonnell, transported to Van Diemen’s Land, Australia, in the 1840s. RIVERS OF STONE (Nov 2017) follows Catriona McDonnell, disguised as a boy, as she crosses Canada during the fur trade era (1840s). Beth currently writes historical fiction from Washington State, ready to travel at a moment’s notice with laptop and husband to parts unknown. http://bethandwriting.blogspot.com
