My name is Barbara Tantrum (yes, that really is my last name) and I grew up in Walla Walla, Washington. I have experienced adoption as an adoptive sister, a birth sister, a foster sister, an adoptive mom, a foster mom, a legal guardian, and I also have a few bio-children. I work as a therapist specializing in adoption and foster care and wrote this book to help adoptive and foster families wanting to function better. I live with my husband and kids in the Seattle area. When not writing, I enjoy swimming, boating, biking, crabbing, painting, quilting, and travel. During the COVID quarantine, I am trying my best to stay sane by sewing masks and taking it one day at a time living with six of my seven children at home with me, ranging in age from nine to twenty-three.
