Avinash Mishra (Born : 1986 in Ghaziabad) is a prominent voice in contemporary Hindi literature. Active in poetry, fiction, literary criticism, editing, and journalism; his body of work spans multiple genres and forms. Avinash’s debut poetry collection, 'Agyatwas Ki Kavitayen' (2017), was published by the Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi. His first novel, 'Naye Shekhar Ki Jeevani' (2018), was released by Vani Prakashan and marked the beginning of a bold literary experiment that challenges conventional narrative structureims. This was followed by his second poetry collection, 'Chaunsath Sutra Solah Abhiman: Kaamsutra Se Prerit' (2019), published by Rajkamal Prakashan. In 2022, his second novel, 'Varshavaas', was released by Hind Yugm. He continued his literary exploration with the critical work 'Navan Dashak' (2024), focused on the ninth-decade Hindi poetry movement, and a third poetry collection, 'Waqt Zaroorat' (2024)—both published by Rajkamal Prakashan. His latest contribution is a reimagined and expanded edition of 'Naye Shekhar Ki Jeevani' (2025), presented in two volumes—'Aagman' and 'Prasthan'—through Hind Yugm. These books redefine the form of the novel through an inventive, non-traditional structure. 'Aagman' is a rewritten version of the original novel, while 'Prasthan' serves as its bold, forward-looking sequel. Together, they offer a layered narrative journey—where 'Aagman' contains many cities, 'Prasthan' becomes one city in depth. Currently, Avinash is at work on 'Anveshan', the third and final volume of the Shekhar Trilogy. He also serves as an editor at 'Sadaneera' and 'Hindwi', contributing to Hindi literary culture while balancing editorial responsibilities with his livelihood.
