Austin Scanlon is a fantasy author who primarily writes Portal Fantasy and LitRPG, with a strong focus on the found family trope. His work emphasizes immersive worldbuilding, deep character development, and the emotional highs and lows that shape both individuals and the worlds they inhabit.

Drawing inspiration from a wide range of media, Austin’s stories often explore the human psyche, resilience, and the will to continue in the face of overwhelming odds. His narratives are known for balancing moments of triumph with hardship, offering readers both escapism and introspection.

Outside of writing, Austin is an avid reader and artist who enjoys creating artwork for his novels. He regularly draws inspiration from popular LitRPGs, webtoons, manhwa, and anime, consuming hundreds of works each year. Across multiple projects, he has written over 600,000 words, gradually weaving a shared universe where stories and characters subtly—or sometimes overtly—interconnect.

Austin writes with the hope that readers will enjoy the journeys his characters embark on as much as he enjoys bringing them to life. While always striving to improve his craft, his primary goal remains the same: to create vivid, living characters and worlds that readers can explore to their heart's content.

He also likes to think he's funny.
