Ashoke Bose was born in Calcutta, India. He is the youngest child in an East-Pakistan refugee family of six children. His parents were forced to leave East Pakistan in 1947 when British divided India. His early childhood in the refugee camp in Calcutta helped him to develop skills to survive under extreme conditions. He graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1979. After working in Phillips India for a short period, he went to Montreal, Canada to attend McGill University. In 1983, he moved to USA to conduct research at the University of Arizona. In 1987, he joined University of Arizona Social and Behavioral Sciences Research Institute (SBSRI) as a Senior Programmer. At SBSRI, he was involved in conducting CATI based survey research for social and political studies. In 1991, he founded Communication Software, Inc. (CSI-US.com)to provide market research services to HUD and DOT. In 1993, he published first paper on social network powered "SNET" marketing tool. In 1999, he founded Bose International Investment Fund, LLC, which is the parent company of CSI and AskNshare, LLC, which was founded in 2012. Bose was also involved in data storage technology while he was working in IBM USA (1998-2001, 2004-2006) and in IBM China (2007-2015). Bose founded Sustainable Energy & Agriculture Technology LLC in 2014 to develop Near Zero Carbon (NZC) Emission technology for greenhouse application. In 2019, Bose was invited by the Growth Train Global Accelerator program in Copenhagen, Denmark. On November 3, 2019, he presented his concept on social farming by micro greenhouse at the Demo Day of Growth Train Accelerator program.
