Ari Joskowicz is Professor of Jewish Studies, European Studies, and History at Vanderbilt University and is chair of the Department of Jewish Studies. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee. Originally from Vienna, he studied in Austria, the Netherlands, and the United States, and works broadly on European, Jewish, and Romani history since the 18th century. He has published on Jewish anti-Catholicism, Jewish philosophy, and Jewish and Romani memory politics, among other themes.
