With more than 30 years of HR and business leadership experience, she has served as a Chief Human Resources Officer, consultant, speaker, and advisor to leaders and organizations across the country. She is the President and CEO of Paragon Strategy Partners, where she helps organizations build stronger leaders, healthier cultures, and more human-centered workplaces. April is a NAMI Ambassador, board member of NAMI Piedmont Tri-County, and founder of the Cheslie C. Kryst Foundation. After losing her daughter, Cheslie Kryst, to suicide in 2022, April became even more committed to speaking honestly and compassionately about mental illness, grief, resilience, and the support people need to live and work well. She is also the co-author of the New York Times bestselling book By the Time You Read This and host of the podcast As I Was Saying.
