Anthony Gregory is a historian specializing in U.S. legal and political history. He is a Hoover Fellow at the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace at Stanford University. He was previously Assistant Professor in Residence in the History, Philosophy and Social Sciences Department at Rhode Island School of Design and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University's Political Theory Project. Anthony earned his Phd in History at the University of California, Berkeley. Before returning to academia, he spent eleven years as a researcher at the Independent Institute in Oakland, California, where he wrote widely for popular publications. He enjoys music and cooking and lives with his family in the Bay Area of California.
