Annika Reuter was born in 1980 and grew up in Germany's Rhineland region. After a stressful internship at a TV news network, she gave up her dream of becoming a journalist and, partly due to pressure from her parents, went on to study English and French education at the University of Bonn. From 2008 to 2020, she worked as a secondary school teacher. Today, she is no longer in the teaching profession and speaks on Instagram, as well as at teacher training seminars and universities, about her experiences and the challenges of leaving the education system. She also works as a singer and coach.
