Anna Kahill (pen name) is a writer, trauma survivor, and neurodivergent mother from Northern Ireland. A trained pharmacist and late-diagnosed autistic woman, she brings both lived and professional insight to her debut memoir Not the Perfect Victim. She writes what she could not say for years. Her work challenges the idea of the “perfect victim,” and how public perception can determine whose cases are believed—and whose never make it to court. Writing from the perspective of a survivor whose case did not reach court, she explores what happens when trauma goes unrecognised, unnamed, and unsupported for years. Through unflinching honesty, Anna examines the intersection of trauma, neurodivergence, and systemic failure, including her experience reporting a non-recent rape to the Police Service of Northern Ireland. She writes as one of the voices rarely seen in public narratives—those without verdicts, headlines, or closure. Her debut memoir Not the Perfect Victim, published in 2025, is available internationally and has been taken up by public library systems across the island of Ireland.
